Hey folks! My name is Brianne and I am in my fourth year of a Secondary Ed. degree. My major is Health and minor is Social Studies.
As most of you would have experienced.. university requires a lot of hands on use of technology.. well, let me tell you that at times, this was a challenge. Although my Father is a technology guru, I take after my Mom and have very little confidence within the technology "world". Despite being completely tech dumb, I managed to utilize a few classroom enhancing tools during my internship. To name a few; Powerpoint (lol), Google Classroom, Google Plus, Google Play, Google Docs, Google Slides.. and basically anything that Google can offer. I also enjoyed Kahoot, TodaysMeet, Twitter, and Youtube. It seems like Blogging has a stigma around it, like writing your thoughts and creating a site is so hard? IT IS. I have never been one to enjoy designing a template or posting my thoughts.. but, I do see the benefit. In a classroom setting, connecting is vital. In today's world connecting via apps, internet and blogging is just another way to share ideas, expand knowledge and enhance the learning environment.
